More than three quarters gave it excellent commendations.  One attribute of the Jet that really stands out is its price, a true value for the quality it can deliver. Some may overlook it because it’s not made in the USA like other brands of cabinet saw but it’s surprisingly of very good quality and durability. The initial set up is very good since they very rarely have to make an adjustment. Some fine points are: the hand wheels are big and easy to handle, the lock down knobs are very secure, fence sits very low on the table, excellent cutting quality, really does cut like a knife through butter. There is no noticeable vibration and the motor is powerful yet very quiet. This cabinet saw is an absolute bargain.

Some had problems with the workmanship of the fence; they had several issues with it, from the nylon set screws to the locking mechanism. They say that its quality does not match that of the saw and Jet needs to come up with a better fence system overall. It comes with a power cord , the casters work great for moving the over 600 lbs unit, the arbor lock is excellent for changing the blades and the dust chute works perfect. It is one of the best cabinet saw according to these customer reviews. It works flawlessly, smooth and free of vibration with clean, straight cuts, excellent locking repeatable precision fence system, Miter gauge is accurate and easy to read, Bevel gauge is also accurate and easy to read, bevels and miters that are 45 degrees and many other excellent functions. It is very easy to operate as well.

One customer complaint is the facts that the legs on the cast iron case were not ground properly to allow the table to sit perfectly flat on the customer’s perfectly flat floor. But despite that, he says he will still purchase this machinery for the second time if needed. One customer did not have any problems with the item itself but the delivery man who refused to assist him with the 700lbs machinery. The negative review rating it 2 stars was very disappointed because both extension wings have a .010″ belly in them. The beveled edges of the extensions wings don’t match the main table bevel. The carriage that raises and lowers the saw doesn’t work.

But that is only one customer review, the rest of the reviews were more than satisfied with this cabinet saw and they highly recommend it.

The instructions to put it together were easy to follow. There are many very good key functions and attributes that make it appealing not only to DIYers but also professional woodworkers. The fit in finish is above par, everything is well engineered and well executed and the saw runs very smoothly (no vibrations at all). The dust collection feature is really something that many customers love. On top of the already incredible quality, it includes the riving knife, easily removable guard, and built-in castors. For its price and quality, this cabinet saw is an incredible bargain. Customers has so many good things to say about this cabinet saw.

The attachment of the legs to the extension table could be improved; the screws are small, and putting them into particle board does not offer enough strength. But this is easily solved by adding thick half inch plywood on the underside and using larger screws. There were minor glitches on the saw that a few customers found, such as attention to design details and quality control. These glitches cost the saw 1 or even 2 stars knocked down.  The concerns raised were varied so it is hard to tell whether they were redundant issues or isolated cases. One of the two 2 star reviewers had an issue with a defective part and had requested a replacement, he retracted his negative review after the motor of his saw was replaced and now it runs great, while the other remains disappointed with how customer service handled his concern regarding a discount that he should have received when he purchased the saw.
